Weekend Taekwondo Classes for Kids in Metro Manila
No weekday traffic, no rushed pickups. Here's the real weekend schedule at all three Grit & Glory branches in Taguig and Parañaque.
Why Weekend Classes Matter for Busy Families
Weekday afternoons are hard. School pickup, homework, traffic, dinner — by the time a weekday evening class rolls around, a lot of families are just trying to survive to bedtime. Weekend classes solve a real scheduling problem: no rushing from school, no fighting rush-hour traffic, and both parents can usually attend together.
Weekend Schedules at Grit & Glory
All three of our branches run weekend classes:
| Branch | Saturday | Sunday | Other Days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hagonoy, Taguig | 8:00 AM–11:00 AM & 3:00 PM–5:00 PM | 4:00 PM–8:00 PM | Friday 4:00 PM–8:30 PM |
| Arca South, Taguig | 3:00 PM–6:00 PM | 3:00 PM–6:00 PM | Weekend only |
| Don Bosco, Parañaque | 8:00 AM–10:00 AM | 8:00 AM–10:00 AM | Weekend only |
Each time block covers multiple age-group classes — Little Tigers, Junior Warriors, and Teens & Adults each have their own session within that window, not one mixed-age class. Check your branch's page for the exact breakdown, since it can shift slightly by term.
Choosing Between a Morning and an Afternoon Slot
There's no universally "better" slot — it depends on your family's rhythm:
- Morning classes (Don Bosco, or Hagonoy's Saturday morning block) tend to suit families who want the activity done early, before the rest of the weekend's plans start.
- Afternoon/evening classes (Arca South, or Hagonoy's later Saturday and Sunday blocks) work better for families with a slower weekend morning routine, or who want the class as a mid-day break rather than a first-thing commitment.
Can We Try Both a Weekday and a Weekend Slot?
Yes — Hagonoy is the only branch of the three that currently offers a weekday (Friday) option alongside its weekend classes, so if flexibility matters most, that's the branch to look at first. Arca South and Don Bosco are weekend-only for now.
What to Expect at a Weekend Class
Nothing about a weekend class is different from a weekday one — same curriculum, same coaches, same belt progression. The only thing that changes is when you show up. Bring jogging pants, a white t-shirt, and water for a first trial class; once enrolled, your coach will walk you through uniform (dobok) requirements.
Booking a Weekend Trial
Trial classes need to be booked in advance so a coach is ready and the class isn't over capacity — this applies to weekend slots too, especially Saturday mornings, which tend to fill up first. Book a free trial and pick whichever branch and weekend time works best for your family — Hagonoy or Arca South in Taguig, or Don Bosco in Parañaque.
