1. About these terms

This website, https://ggtkd.com, is operated by Grit & Glory Martial Arts School, trading as “Grit & Glory Taekwondo”. These terms explain the conditions on which we make this website available to you. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.

We have kept this document short and plain deliberately. Where anything here is unclear, it should be read in the way that is fairer to you, not to us.

2. What these terms do not cover

This is the most important section on the page. These terms govern the website only. They are not your agreement with our academy.

Enrolment, tuition and fees, class schedules, belt grading, attendance, competition participation, medical disclosure, physical training and the risks that come with it, and any waiver or assumption of risk are all governed by separate documents — the enrolment forms and waiver you sign at the branch, and the terms of our booking platform at https://app.ggtkd.com.

Nothing on this website, and nothing in these terms, replaces or overrides those documents. If anything here appears to conflict with them, those documents govern the training relationship.

3. Using this website

You are welcome to read, print and share this website for your own personal, non-commercial use, including sharing links to it.

Please do not:

• Copy or republish substantial parts of the site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any system behind it, or interfere with its normal operation. Acts of this kind are offences under the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000 (Republic Act No. 8792).
• Use automated tools to scrape the site in a way that places an unreasonable load on it.
• Present the site, or content from it, in a way that suggests an association with or endorsement by us that does not exist.

4. Content and intellectual property

The text, photographs, videos, graphics, logos and design of this website belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 8293). “Grit & Glory Taekwondo” and our logo are our trade marks, used as marks of our academy.

Third-party names, marks and embedded content shown on this site remain the property of their respective owners.

5. Links and embedded content

This website links to other websites, including our booking platform and our social media pages, and embeds maps supplied by Google on our branch pages.

Content that we embed from a third party, and any website we link to, is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, not by ours. We do not control those services and we are not responsible for their content or availability. Our Privacy Policy explains what information the embedded maps receive.

6. Accuracy of information on this site

We take care to keep this website accurate and current, and we correct mistakes when we find them. Even so, class schedules, programmes, branch details and fees can change, and pages may occasionally be out of date. Please confirm anything you are relying on with us directly before acting on it.

The website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. This does not affect any right you have under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394) in relation to the services we actually provide to you.

7. Our liability

To the extent Philippine law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from reliance on information published on it, where that loss results from ordinary negligence on our part in relation to the website's content or availability.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, for gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Under Philippine law a waiver of liability for future fraud is void (Civil Code, Article 1171), and conduct showing bad faith is treated in the same way (Article 1173). We do not attempt to contract out of any of that.

This section is about the website. Liability connected with physical training is dealt with in the enrolment documents and waiver you sign with us, and is not affected by these terms.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you visit this website, who receives it, and what rights you have under the Data Privacy Act of 2012. It forms part of these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any change takes effect only from the date it is posted on this page, and applies to your use of the site from that point onward — we will not apply changes retroactively. The effective date below always reflects the current version.

10. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

Any action arising from or relating to these terms shall be filed exclusively in the proper courts of Taguig City, Metro Manila, to the exclusion of all other courts.

This does not affect your right to bring a complaint before the National Privacy Commission in relation to your personal data, or before the Department of Trade and Industry as a consumer. Those routes remain open to you regardless of anything in these terms.

11. If part of these terms cannot apply

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part applies only so far as it lawfully can, and the rest of the terms continue in force.
