Discipline meets technique
Junior Warriors — Taekwondo for Ages 7 to 12
Junior Warriors is where Taekwondo gets serious — in the best way. Students develop real technique through structured poomsae and sparring fundamentals, while learning goal-setting, perseverance, and the kind of self-discipline that shows up in their schoolwork and at home.

What they gain
- Genuine technical skill and physical fitness
- Perseverance and a healthy relationship with goals
- Self-discipline that transfers to school and home
In class
- Poomsae (forms) and controlled sparring fundamentals
- Goal-setting toward earned belt progression
- Optional competition preparation for tournaments
What a Junior Warriors Class Looks Like
- 1
Warm-Up and Conditioning
Age-appropriate conditioning that builds the fitness base real technique depends on.
- 2
Poomsae (Forms) Practice
Structured forms practice, repeated and corrected, so technique becomes muscle memory rather than memorized steps.
- 3
Sparring Fundamentals
Controlled, supervised sparring drills that build real skill without unnecessary contact.
- 4
Goal-Setting Toward the Next Belt
Every class ties back to a visible next step — the next stripe, the next belt — so progress is never abstract.
- 5
Discipline and Respect
The same respect and self-control habits from Little Tigers, now applied to harder technique and real partner work.
“Respect, focus, and self-control don't stay on the mat. Parents consistently tell us the change shows up at home and in school first — before it shows up in their child's kicks.”
Questions About Junior Warriors
On average 4 to 5 years of consistent training. We never rush promotions — every belt at Grit & Glory is earned through a real grading, not given for showing up.
Many parents tell us it's the opposite of what they expected — a structured class with a clear routine and small, achievable goals tends to bring shy kids out of their shell faster than open-ended group activities. Progress is measured belt by belt, at their own pace, with no pressure to perform in front of a crowd.
Taekwondo gives high-energy kids a structured outlet and a clear set of rules to focus that energy — respect the mat, listen for the whistle, wait your turn. Coaches are trained to redirect rather than punish, which tends to work better than simply asking an active child to sit still.
Yes. We offer a competitive track for students who want to join tournaments, from local to national level — competition is always optional, never required.
